At Shrida Travels, we understand that travel plans may change. This Cancellation and Refund Policy explains the general conditions applicable to cancellations, amendments and refunds for travel services purchased through us.
Because travel services are provided through airlines, hotels, cruise companies, tour operators and other independent suppliers, cancellation and refund eligibility may vary according to the specific booking.
1. Cancellation Requests
All cancellation requests must be submitted to Shrida Travels through email or another written communication channel accepted by us.
Please provide:
- Customer name
- Booking reference
- Travel date
- Service booked
- Reason for cancellation
- Contact details
A cancellation will be considered received only after it has been acknowledged by Shrida Travels.
2. Cancellation Charges
Cancellation charges depend upon:
- Type of service booked
- Travel destination
- Date of cancellation
- Date of travel
- Airline or hotel rules
- Tour operator terms
- Supplier cancellation conditions
- Special promotional conditions
The specific cancellation conditions communicated in the booking confirmation, quotation or itinerary shall apply to that booking.
3. Non-Refundable Services
Certain travel products may be completely or partially non-refundable, including, where applicable:
- Promotional or discounted airfares
- Non-refundable airline tickets
- Special hotel rates
- Promotional hotel reservations
- Cruise bookings
- Visa charges
- Insurance premiums
- Event tickets
- Attraction tickets
- Special-event bookings
- Confirmed ground services
- Supplier deposits
- Last-minute reservations
- Customized arrangements already purchased from suppliers
Customers will be informed of applicable non-refundable conditions wherever reasonably available before or at the time of confirmation.
4. Flight Cancellations
Flight ticket cancellations and refunds are governed primarily by the fare rules of the respective airline.
Airline cancellation fees, fare differences, no-show charges and Shrida Travels service charges, where applicable, may be deducted from the refundable amount.
If an airline cancels or significantly changes a flight, refund or rebooking options will be governed by the airline’s applicable policy.
5. Hotel Cancellations
Hotel cancellation policies vary according to the property, rate plan and travel dates.
Some bookings allow free cancellation within a defined period, while other bookings may be partially refundable or completely non-refundable.
The cancellation conditions applicable to the selected accommodation will govern the refund.
6. Tour Package Cancellations
Tour packages may involve payments to multiple suppliers. Cancellation charges therefore depend on the amount already committed or paid to airlines, hotels, transportation companies and other service providers.
After deduction of applicable supplier charges and agreed service charges, the remaining eligible amount, if any, will be refunded.
7. Visa Fees
Visa application charges, embassy fees, service charges and processing fees are generally non-refundable once an application has been submitted or processing has begun.
Visa issuance is at the discretion of the relevant authority. Visa rejection does not automatically entitle the traveller to refunds for other travel arrangements unless those services are independently refundable under their respective terms.
8. No-Show
Failure to use a confirmed booking without cancelling it within the required timeframe may be treated as a “No-Show.”
No-show bookings may be completely non-refundable depending upon airline, hotel or supplier rules.
9. Refund Processing
Where a refund is approved, Shrida Travels will initiate the eligible refund after receiving confirmation and/or funds from the relevant service provider, wherever supplier approval is required.
We aim to initiate eligible refunds within 7–10 business days after the refundable amount has been confirmed and received from the relevant supplier, where applicable.
Banks, card issuers and payment gateways may require additional time to credit the amount to the customer’s account.
Therefore, the total time taken for the refunded amount to appear in a customer’s account may vary according to the bank, payment method, country and card issuer.
10. Method of Refund
Where technically and legally possible, online payments will ordinarily be refunded to the original payment method used for the transaction.
Refunds cannot normally be transferred to an unrelated card, account or person.
11. International Payment Refunds
For payments made using international cards or foreign-issued payment methods:
- Refunds will generally be processed against the original transaction.
- The customer’s bank or card provider may convert the refund using the exchange rate applicable on the date the refund is credited.
- Currency exchange rates may differ between the original payment date and refund date.
- Foreign exchange fees, cross-border charges or bank charges imposed independently by the customer’s bank or card provider may not be refundable by Shrida Travels.
Shrida Travels is not responsible for differences caused solely by foreign exchange conversion performed by banks or card issuers.
12. Duplicate or Incorrect Transactions
If a customer believes that a payment has been charged more than once or an incorrect amount has been charged, the customer should contact us as soon as possible with:
- Booking reference
- Transaction ID
- Payment date
- Amount
- Relevant supporting evidence
After verification, any confirmed excess payment will be refunded through the appropriate payment method.
13. Refunds for Services Cancelled by Suppliers
If an airline, hotel, tour operator or other supplier cancels a service, Shrida Travels will assist the customer in obtaining the available refund or alternative offered by that supplier.
The amount and timing of any such refund remain subject to the respective supplier’s policy and approval.
14. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
Customers are requested to contact Shrida Travels before initiating a payment dispute or chargeback so that we can attempt to resolve the matter promptly.
We may provide booking confirmations, invoices, correspondence, vouchers and service records to the payment processor or issuing bank when responding to legitimate payment disputes.
